Just For Me

It only took 4 days, but we finally managed to get the light up, trees trimmed. The living room cleaned up. The boxes put away. "Charlie" decorated. Christmas is finally landed at our house..

Christmas before the storm

Sometimes I light all of the candles, hanging and otherwise, for no reason. You know how you wait to do the special things for guest or special events. I love to light all the candles in the house for no reason. Just because. Just to enjoy for the moment. Just for me.

And precious art in my Christmas frame.

Looks lovely. Did you ever mention why you have two trees? Love them, but it seems like enough work to put up just one, I cannot imagine putting up more! And I love the candles.

Thank you Libra Moon, Paula!
Elaine - Here is my story and I am sticking to it. 'P We used to have one big, real tree. But D and I could hardly carry it in, then there was the cutting, and watering. And I would literally have to get the chainsaw out and cut it out of the family room. Then one day I stumbled upon one tall thin artificial tree that I thought I could handle by myself. without assistance or waiting for D - who is a terrible procrastinator. So I bought it and put it up the next year. He loved it and thought we should have another, during a sale. One of those trees will not hold all of the ornaments, well, two hardly take them all. AND he bought ANOTHER enormous artificial tree that I can not handle by myself. I don't put it up often. ;) The tall skinny ones are really easy for me to put up.

You've done it again!

Looks so cozy and Christmassy! I completely agree with the thoughts on lighting the lights just for yourself - we should do that more often! I have yet to put mine up...

Two trees! How cool is that? And your little elf is just darling. It does look like Christmas has landed in your part of the woods. :D
