A Cold And Rainy Day With Tulips

We traveled north to Skagit Valley first to watch Matt play baseball then on to the La Conner Tulip Festival. I have never been there in the spring when it wasn't raining and a bone-chilling wind wasn't blowing. But the tulips and daffodils are always worth the trip. Also fits nicely with Mecozy's week in color! More tulips here.

Just beautiful. My favorite, though, is the one with the wee hand clutching the red tulip.

omy you picked the coldest windyest day to go!!! Brrr it makes me cold just thinking about yesterday. I really like how you paired the row with the single flower - it makes those rows look so much better. Luke and I are going to try to go this week sometime... if the sun comes out that is.

Oh, I want to go! I want to go (I say again this time out loud with excitement and jealousy). Hmmm...how long of a drive is it up there?

Yes, I did! we were going to go on Friday but decided to wait until the baseball game ;) I love the organization feel of the rows.

Liz - it is an hour for us, so does that make it an 2.5 for you? You could go during the week, it is not so crowded on a weekday!

These remind me of Carslbad in SoCAL, the flower farms that over look the Pacific...(missing my childhood...but in a good way)
