Where Did Summer Go?

I don't know about you, but it doesn't feel like summer should be ending yet. I have not visited my hydrangeas in a week or so ... and I found them all changing colors. Trying to see some beauty in the world today. Here are some macros of hydrangea petals turning into the most amazing colors. If you want to see more the Flickr slideshow is here .

Lovely! I have enjoyed my visits here; your photos are tiny examples of the beauty of our world. Love the dandelion, too.

Kim, I left some comments on your flickr photos but also wanted to comment here how totally awesome and inspiring your macro photos of the hydrangeas are to me. I've been down in the dumps in the last couple of days and these brightened my day. A bit worried about some folks we know in N.Orleans/Bay St. Louis area who lost their parents. But also for ALL of the people and their animal companions who lost family members, homes, jobs... these flowers remind me the world is truly beautiful. thanks for sharing all of these. -- Maureen

Beautiful photos. But the geese tell me fall is indeed on its way.

lovely pictures, i can almost "smell" the air around those colors, if that makes sense...

when i look at the dandelion the word "serene" comes to mind. i'm thinking that would be a great picture in the bedroom.

Oh no. I have a small back yard. But for a week I did not bother walking down the stairs and walking over to see them.
